AGC Highlights Country Projects on International Women's Day 2025

On March 8, 2025 the world celebrates the contributions of women by commemorating International Women's Day.

We are proud to showcase the work of our country teams to acknowledge the work of providing educational and business opportunities for women throughout the world whom without, the ASGM sector wouldn't exist.

Did you know that women contribute to most of the gold washing, or "cooking", of gold that is mixed with mercury, resulting in women being disproportionately impacted by the inhalation of toxic mercury fumes?

Our work seeks to educate on the impacts of mercury, introduce new technologies to eliminate the use of mercury, provide access to finances for projects, and partner with governments to improve bureaucratic decision-making.
