Mongolia - AGC and planetGOLD Mongolia contribute to World Bank's Delve 2023 State of the Sector Report

Artisanal Gold Council and AGC-executed planetGOLD Mongolia project were very pleased to participate in the World Bank's Delve 2023 State of the Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining Sector report.Our case study, titled 'Concerns over the Social Protection for Mongolian Artisanal Miners,' addresses artisanal miners' access to social services and provides conclusions and recommendations.Social protection should be an important consideration in the development of a sustainable workplace and responsible labour practices in ASM.Although slow, a shift towards full-fledged social protection for artisanal miners requires a concerted effort from key government and non-government stakeholders.The World Bank Delve 2023 State of the Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining Report can be downloaded here.
