The planetGOLD Zambia PSC Holds First Meeting

The planetGOLD Zambia Project Steering Committee (PSC) convened its inaugural meeting on 3rd February 2025, in Lusaka, following its establishment on 22nd January 2025.

The PSC, chaired by the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment, was created to provide strategic oversight for the planetGOLD Zambia project, aiming to formalize Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM), improve access to finance and markets, introduce mercury-free technologies, and promote knowledge sharing.

At the meeting, the PSC approved the planned project activities. This marks a significant milestone in ensuring the successful implementation of the project and alignment with the project objectives.
