GOLD Global knowledge management and exchange of child project results (2019-2024)

As a Financial Advocacy service provider on this project, AGC will lead education, outreach and advocacy to the financial services and investment sector. The overall goal is to educate financial service providers and investors about the changing landscape of finance and investment opportunities in ASGM and to advocate for more direct engagement with the sector, particularly through GEF GOLD Programme country-level projects, resulting in increased financial flows to the sector.

Determining Mercury Use in the Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) Sector: Tools and Methods (2017)

An Artisanal Gold Council guidebook and toolkit, produced in conjunction with UN Environment, designed to assist governments, civil-society organizations, and the private sector of countries that are preparing an ASGM National Action Plan (NAP) under the Minamata Convention on Mercury. This guidebook offers background information, tools, and expert guidance that can be used to conduct a national ASGM baseline. Partners: United Nations Environment (UNE).

Global Knowledge Hub for Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining

Improving the global state of knowledge and transforming thinking about ASGM through the creation of a global inventory of research, data, tool-kits and best practices as well as the creation of information sharing platforms for ASGM stakeholders around the world. Partners: Global Environment Facility (GEF) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
